CCI Blazer - As good as Mini-Mags?

Knowing if you have several .22lr firearms they probably don't like the same ammo. So why does it matter what brand you buy so long as it shoots reliably anddoes the job its needed for. I am one that does not use mini-mags. CCI in general tends to make good ammo but you still have to find what works best for you. Maybe its a federal, agulla, wolf or sk., winchester or remington. Even cci blaser. I shot some blaser ammo this weekend. It worked very well for the price and fired ever round. Shot some nice 1/4" 25 yard groups. Should make just as good a hunting round as any other ammo.

Blazers are dirtier than MM. They always leave a lot more gunk in my guns than Federal, Winchester and even Remingtons. They shoot fine..just a little more tedious to clean.

Never tried the Blazers in my autos, which will not run reliably on any of the "bulk" stuff. Blazer stuff has only recently become available around here, and I had a hard time getting past problems I had with the name back in the eighties with Blazer centerfire stuff.
But, now that I have a revolver among my rimfire roundup, I'll shoot anything. However, there's no reason yet to try the Blazer for me, since the revolver will eat even less-expensive stuff, and the autos are Mini-Mag-restricted.

Try the Remington GB's. I own a Mosquito that has only reliably ate GB's. Around here they are far cheaper than the Minis

Roger the Mosquito. My wife's Mozzie gobbles up the Golden Bulk. Everybody likes to trash on it but until I found the Blazers the Goldens were the only bulk it liked. It doesn't even cycle Federal Auto Match.

Surprisingly the Goldens were also one of the most accurate ammos out of my 10/22.

I was told,,,

I was told by a guy who used to work for CCI,,,
That Blazer and Mini Mags are essentially the same,,,
The only difference is that Mini Mags have that copper washed bullet.

I have no idea if it's true or not,,,
Just passing along some hearsay evidence.

I like Blazers. I bought a whole bunch of Blazer bricks over the past few years, whenever a local shop had them for $13.99/500 . They cycle well, shoot good, a little dirtier than Mini-Mags, but as reliable for me. Good inexpensive plinking fun stuff.
I also bought a lot of Federal 'Walmart' 550-bricks when they were still cheap....and a lot of 100-packs of Mini-Mags. I have a few years worth of fun stashed away.

I love the Blazer .22 and will pick up a box whenever I can. 100% reliable and accurate in all my .22 firearms.
