I found a new Century Ak 9mm pistol at my local shop but I'm having trouble identifying the exact model. Label says new & shows no signs of use but its unlike any model or picture I can find online.

This one has an A2 style muzzle brake, poly grips not wood, takes glock mags, has no stock/brace like other models & a strange pistol grip that has long cut holes in it.

Stuff like this normally jumps off the shelf there but this has been there for 6+ months and I'm curious why.

Anyone have a clue what exact model it maybe? Or reviews, beware of's or know issues with this style, maker or variant.

As always any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks & Merry Christmas everyone

I believe the russians have 9mm submachine based on the AK.

The Vityaz-SN is a 9×19mm Parabellum submachine gun (also known as the pp-19-01 [1]) developed in 2004 by Izhmash (now Kalashnikov). It is based on the AK-74 and offers a high degree of parts commonality with the AK-74. The gun is directly developed from the PP-19 Bizon.[1][2] It is the standard submachine gun for all branches of the Russian military and police forces.[3][4] "Vityaz" (витязь) is Russian for "knight".

can you take a photo of yours and uploaded here?
Yes that was a google photo to show an example picture vs the description of the missing parts. I haven't purchased it yet but am going to the shop again around 9am when it opens.
I would like to get it but theres something odd about it with the A2, grip with holes and sling mount instead of a brace. Ever had a gun deal that just didn't feel right when looking at the gun itself?

Its listed like its the one in the photo but with several differences, similar price but less features and quality parts. Also it being on the shelf for as long as it has says theres something that made a lot of people pass on it and Im trying to figure why.

Only bad thing Ive seen in all my research is that some models don't work so well with the closed bolt and tend to bend/warp the feed ramps on your mags, otherwise everyone seems to love it

Nice, I really like the brace on that.

Imagine the look of that but with no stock, a2 birdcage and long holes drilled in the pistol grip. Also the handguards are polymer not metal. Its stamped made in Romania like most variants I see but lacking the same features as literally every CAI ak 9 I could find using google images, gunbroker and all sale sites (PSA, Brownells, MidwayUSA, Buds ect)

UPDATE - heres the pictures. Come to find after a mistake in their records it was used but very lightly. The PO put mods on but rarely took it out and traded it for something he preferred more. Its a Century NAK 9.

So I guess my questions are, Can a stock/brace be installed on this model? Are their any known issues or reasons people could be passing on this particular gun

It's made in Romania which is the same place that the Wasr10 is made, but it's not made by the same company. As far as I heard on AKFiles, they're good to go.

Ive been hearing the same, everyone loves them & they are accurate and reliable. The only 2 points Im stuck on is can I brace it legally and without heavy or custom modifications & how/ if I can determine if its one of the models that is known for bending feed lips on mags. Ive also heard they don't work to well with drum mags

I'll ask over on AKFiles for you, and will tell you what they say... I'm not an expert, but they should be able to answer all your questions and then some.

Thank you very much. I called Century and they said its possible but would most likely need to be gunsmithed or custom work, no "bolt on options". Im pretty sure there is no legal issue with it so Im figuring worst case if its custom, perhaps go for a side folder option if possible.
