Does anyone know if I can replace the double action only bobbed hammer and trigger with parts from a single/double action charter arms revolver?
Thank you

I had my DAO Bulldog fitted with a Spur Hammer and New Trigger by Charter Arms beginning of this year. Called them, they said mail it to us and we will do it. Was done under Warranty Service, I had to pay the postage ($34). Came back perfect, asked them to check timing and lockup received a full report back. They replaced the crane screw as well. Pretty sure that it had the same setup as the boomer. Here is pic before and after. Bottom line you can call them and ask. They are nice people. I have said this before and it’s just a hypothesis but I think they got hit hard by Covid-19 workforce wise. They really seem to be catching up but they have been having some QC issues.

Hammer is easy. They sell them right through their online store. Trigger, probably better to let them do it, as it's an annoying frustrating three hand job.

I understand wanting to swap the hammer. Why a new trigger?

In my case that is just what they did, sent it for hammer. My Bulldog is from 2005 that is why I paid for shipping there. I can only guess why they swapped the hammer also. Maybe slight design change. Not sure if that is required for the Boomer as well. I could have swapped the hammer myself, it’s a easy enough job as you say but wanted to gun looked at it at the same time, I have a FEW rounds in it. They did that and the swap all under Warranty Service. Was a good experience.
