I purchased a Charter Bulldog today- the older design; no shroud on the ejector, looks like one of the old original production guns. This gun has no bluing or finish and i am wondering if Charter made these older bulldogs in stainless? Or wondering if someone removed the blue somehow?

I have never seen an old Stratford Charter in stainless. Very cool. That looks like it's been in a safe for the last fifty years,

I have a blued one. If I HAD to carry a revolver, that would be it. Tuff Products makes strips for the ammo and I have a few of them. It would also be an excellent snake gun with shot loads.

Love my SA Bulldog with wood target grip. Looks like a big bore Colt Detective special. And yes great people deal with.

I have a newer 3" blue classic and like it but I changed the grips to the rubber ones. It was that or start to load lighter rounds as the wood ones don't help with recoil.

The wood grips are BRUTAL to shoot. I shot mine ONE TIME and went to the store and bought Pachmayrs for it. And even with them you really have to want to shoot it to do it.

Beautiful revolver, congrats!. I used to have a stainless Stratford Undercover .38, but very foolishly sold it. Oh, i wish i could have it back!!!

The Bulldog frame size seems to be the similar to the Colt D frame / SP101 except the Bulldog seems to be lighter when compared..
