One of the guns on my list is a Charter Pathfinder in .22 lr.

I'm interested in it as an all the time pocket gun, a specialized piece that I would carry like say, an NAA mini revolver. Yes, a mouse gun. Not interested in an LCP, et al.

Now Taurus announces at the shot show that they have a new revolver, the model 942, which also is available in a lite model.

So how much does the 942 lite weigh? I know it's an 8 shot, which is nice, but I am fine with a six shot if it weighs less and/or it's smaller.

So how do these two compare?

Extra credit, how about the 942 in .22wmr? How much does it weigh? Just curious...

Thanks, you guys.

Went to the Taurus website and found the owner's manual with all the data.

It won't qualify for the pocket gun that I want but gee... I might run out and buy a 3" .22wmr anyway.

The Taurus website only lists info on a 2" barrel model but various reports from the SHOT Show talk about a 3" barrel version as well.

I always wanted a S&W Model 34 with a 2" barrel. Thought that it would be perfect to tote around anywhere being such a small gun and all. But if these new Taurus .22s turn out to be decent revolvers I might opt for a 3" barrel model instead.

A 3" barreled Taurus 942 could be a good alternative to the current S&W 63. :)
