Chip Mccormick mag does not fit para CCW

I purchased a Chip McCormick shooting star 7 rd officers magazine and it does not fit my Para CCW. The base plate seems to be restricting full insertion. Has anyone else heard or seen of this?

What happens with stock Colt or Wilson?

OK, I'll bite. Only thing that makes sense is if you need a full size mag instead; Paras' website says 7+1 but that may be true for full size mag.
I would assume the CCW is OM size, but I don't know it. Otherwise what you describe is very uncommon proposition, especially if Colt or Wilson won't.

I have not tried any other brands. I have seen older model Para CCW's with aftermarket 7 round magazines that fit flush and a Para Companion (same frame size) with Chip McCormick mags that work. I called Chip McCormick industries and they did not have an answer. They suggested that I send it back and exchange it for their higher end match grade mag?

Try some other brand mags .
My self I'd keep mag and find a pistol it fit. Hopefully it would start with a C
