Hey guys,

Picked up a Para-Ordnance Para CCW today. It came with 2 Para-Ordnance marked mags. The dealer told me that he thought Para gets their mags from Chip McCormick. Anybody know for sure? Also, any experience with these (good, bad, whatever)?

As the owner of six high cap mags for Paras, I believe the mags are made by Para in Canada. They aren't very pretty but they work.

I thought the double stack magazines were made by Mec-gar. IIRC there were some posts way back when at TFL about this.
If it is a single stack, I have no idea.

Yes, the high capacity mags are made by Para (or at least some company in Canada - hence the made in Canada stamp). I have several of these for my Tac-Four and P13. However, I neglected to mention that the Para CCW is a single stack 6 round capacity (+1 in the tube). These mags have the Para symbol on the baseplate, but no stamping as to country of origin.

Your Para CCW should be 7+1, its basicly the C7.45 LDA companion with a commander slide and bobbed everything. The Para Carry is 6+1.

My comanion only came with one mag, no markings that I recall (none on the tube, maybe one on the follower), fed reliably for about three mags, didnt slide-lock. Went with Wilsons, and AFAIK the Para mag is still in my car somewhere along with the money DB Cooper took and Jimmy Hoffa.

The follower looked to be the same as the one in my CMC ten round mag. Beyond that, I dont know anything about it other than the fact its chrome, held seven rounds, fed reliably for about 25 rounds and didnt slide-lock.

It is 7+1 IF you use the supplied mags. This grip frame is Officer's ACP sized. A Wilson 7 round standard mag sticks out about 1/2 inch from the frame. For a second there, I was worried b/c I just ordered two Wilson's Officer ACP mags yesterday.
