Christmas reloading stuff what did ya get

I got 2 gift cards for Cabela's...$150 from wifey, and $50 eCard from my sister. Now to wait for Cabela's to restock after the Christmas rush. There were plenty of empty spaces in the powder section...so I'm assuming they'll fill those in soon. And if there are some LRP on the shelf, even better.

Holy Moly!! An entire box full of unobtanium. I've heard rumors of a powder IMR 4895, but I've never seen any. AND CCI primers? You've been a very, very good boy, indeed!

Yea I guess I'm lucky. We have a local gun shop that almost never open because the owner & his wife are having all kinds of health problems. It's been about 6 months since I caught him open & he was loaded up then, so I suggested to my woman when I made out my list to try there first.

Is it actually rust or is dried inhibitor to prevent rust. I have a lube that looks like that when it dries out. Clean up with solvent.

If you have a tumbler with corncob media (20/40) may clean it up.

Thanks for the post. I did try and remove the rust with Hoppes #9 on the base of the expander die - gets the "brown" out still has pitting, black marks, easy to see and feel with a finger nail.

Still waiting to hear back from the retailer. A $160 set of dies should not need "remedial" cleaning.

do you shoot in your backyard?

ivermectin, huge dose of D3, Zinc… then a natural anti inflammatory like Curcumin. I tested the cocktail on my self
Sometimes. Depends. I shoot armadillos and snakes year round. For target and stuff not as much. This week not at all. There’s too many kids and pets running around in the woods during the holidays.
I’m pretty sure the doctors have this under control. Besides, he’s a coworker, not blood kin. Thanks for the concern.

Wife and kids got me a box of 55 grain FMJ and Speer 168 gr HPBT bullets. I found myself some more SRP for the FMJ haul. I have a decent load for them using SW AR Plus. The Speers will go with the last of my IMR 4064.

Got the Intellidropper. What a great piece of equipment. I did find that you have to use a small spirit level or torpedo level as the provided level is off. Other than that, it was amazing. The powder calibration feature and App are great.
I tried to do double duty, dropping charges with my Hornady Powder Dropper and also loading with my Intellidropper. I had to give up. First, the Intellidropper was multiples more consistent than the powder dropper, and second, the Intellidropper (with a proper powder calibration) was always waiting for me to pick up the charge. My point being...for pistol it's faster than me. I can see where a second Intellidropper could be a nice addition to my bench for loading rifle rounds...perhaps. Loading for small rifle as I do it I doubt it would speed my production more than 2-3 rounds per hour. (but I'd love to test it out).

As to the other level...I don't know how accurate my bubble is...I just set it to the middle, balance the feet, and it's been purring for a couple of years.

I noticed that the unit sat off kilter when using the provided level. So I place a tiny spirit level I reclaimed from some other precise equipment and placed it on the platen and it clearly was off so I set my standard on the actual platen where the pan sits. Seems ok.

I had bought a new progressive loading press but it was defective so it had to go back.
So when I got the refund, I got practical and bought 9mm bullets since I was out of them. (the first time I can remember I ran clear out of 9mm bullets).
Anyways @Dudedog sent me a care package to get me through until I could buy some. Things got a little skimpy around here from back to back foot operations.
Doing good now and back to work. That's my best Christmas present.
I bought enough to last a while. $38.00/500. 124gr TC plated from Xtreme.
9mm xtreme tc 124 gr 4500ct.jpg That's a cheese puff container and it weighs 80lbs. Needless to say, I don't move it around much. I thought about filling it on up but I don't think the plastic jar would take it.
4500 bullets in there. That will last me a little while.

Okay, that gives me an idea: convert a penny-gumball machine to dispense bullets. 3 for a penny. You save money and get a cool display piece.
