Hello,
I was looking for any feedback on this model. Is it worth owning? How would it hold up over the long term?

I know they are made by armscor but fit and finish seems to be better ?

Just looking for experiences and insight.

Thanks.

I believe they are 70's series, therefore NO stupid firing pin block, which is always a winner in my book.

I have the high luster blued model and I've carried it every day for a year or more. Reliable and good looking. There's some slight holster wear on it now but I like it like that. I did replace the grips, thumb safety and hammer for the proper WW1 appearance.

I too have the polished blue version and have no complaints, other than, after having thoroughly cleaned, lubed, fired one magazine through it, I stored it because it's just too "perdy" for me to carry or fire it on a regular basis. They come with the ugliest checkered grips I've ever seen. Appear to be stamped and very poorly at that. I replaced them with Colt checkered walnut grips. Therefore, it just takes up space. They don't seem to be as readily available as they were a year or two ago. Nice pistol imo.

Like the modifications you did to your Cimarron to make it look more like a 1911 from the WWI era.

Thanks. They should come that way. Very easy things to change. I still don't know why they stamped "1911A1" on it instead of just 1911. I think the OP should be happy with this pistol.

I'll add another plus one for them. I have the high polish blue model, and it looks near as good as anything that came out of the Colt shop back in the heyday.

Those are fine looking guns guys. Cast frames you think? I gave away my RIA WW2 looking pistol to my brother, I loved that gun.
