The local anti organization writes me to get on the "write your congressman" bandwagon. They write so well, it seems a shame to waste the rhetoric. Just sub 'support' for 'oppose' at the appropriate places. Don't bother writing Mr. Pascoe, he's hopeless.

Please help prevent gun violence by contacting your Senators regarding
the legislation below.
Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell

380 Russell Senate Bldg
Washington DC 20510
Senator Wayne Allard

1) The current assault weapons ban is scheduled to expire in 2004
unless Congress and the President act to extend it. A failure to do
so would put military style rapid-fire assault weapons back on our
streets. Please urge your Senators to renew and strengthen the
assault weapons ban by supporting S 1431.
2) Another bill (S. 659) would grant sweeping immunity to
irresponsible gun makers, distributors and dealers such as Bull's Eye
Shooter Supply which armed the DC snipers and sold guns used in at
least 52 other crimes. It would slam shut the courthouse door on
victims of gun crimes and accidents. We urge you to contact your
Senators and ask them to oppose S. 659, also known as the Gun Industry
Immunity bill.
3) As currently written, the Omnibus Appropriations Bill would
destroy records of firearms sales within 24 hours instead of the
current 90-day law which allows for the system to be audited and
ensures that dealers conduct background checks properly. The bill
would also hamper law enforcement’s ability to share and analyze
crime-gun trace data. Please urge your Senators to oppose it because
of these senseless provisions.
