I bought a SOCOM II off a guy on Gunbroker and it came with an Eotech, harris BP, some ammo and a forward grip. Ended up getting the whole package for less than what I would have been willing to pay for just the rifle because his pictures and description were not so hot and the no reserve auction ended in the middle of the day.
Did a FTF with him and did not notice until I got home that the Eotech looked a little "off".
I called Eotech today and the guy I spoke to told me it was the first model they ever released and was pretty suprised I even had one. Turns out it's the design they ended up re-branding for Bushnell.
Spec's:
N-Cell
No shroud
Tactictile raised plastic membrane buttons, not extruded rubber
Old Eotech Logo (no L3)
Old Michigan Address
I have a number of Eotech's and I'm torn as to whether I want to hang onto it or sell it off, but now I am wondering if there is any collector market out there for one of these. I searched high and low to find some pictures on the web last night and couldn't find a single example of one, so it seems pretty rare.
Anyone have any thoughts on this or familiarity with the collectability?
I'll post some pictures later tonight from home.
Thanks
