Did these two forums shut down? I was a member of both of them but had not visited them in a while. Now my computer says they are not secure and will not let me go to them.

Colt Country is up and running under a new web address. The new address is:

https://coltcountryforum.com/index.php

1858 Remington and Collector Forums are still running if you can get around the SSL warnings, but most web browsers are blocking them other than Chrome or Microsoft Edge. As such, they are being left to "idle in Park" until we can reestablish contact with the domain owner.

BTW, the warnings are simply expired SSL certificates which have no bearing on security unless you are divulging personal information such as DL or SSN numbers, credit card data or other personal info that could be sold or misused.

Here is what I see when I try to go to the 1858 Remington forum and it doesn't give me any option to bypass this warning:

1858remington.com uses encryption to protect your information. When Microsoft Edge tried to connect to 1858remington.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be 1858remington.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Microsoft Edge stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You can't visit 1858remington.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

The new Colt Country works because I purchased a valid SSL certificate for it and a new web domain. I can't do that for 1858 because I'm not the registered owner...
