COLT Detective Special Pics

Here is my 2nd generation (1947-1972) 2" nickel Colt Detective Special.
This gun is a solid 98+ per center, and has only been test fired 6 times.
Serial number is B36XXX manufactuered in 1971, and I got it from the
original owner.

Nice one, Ala Dan! I've got a mint 2nd and 3rd generation DS as well, but in blue. It's too bad Colt doesn't make them anymore because the DS is a true classic.

Colt Detective Special

I have a 3rd generation nickel Detective Special that is sitting in my safe.
Beautiful, but just not quite my cup of tea. Love those Glocks
Don't know if I will keep it or Glock-up.

Anyway, they are very nice.

Nice to see, I rarely see factory nickel Colt DA revolvers. I think only like 5% of production was so finished.
