Greeting's All-

I just acquired a very minty 2" nickel old model Colt Detective Special. I
was wondering if anyone has a guide to dates of manufacture? The S/N
on this little gem is B36XXX, and was purchased NIB in the very early 70's
by its original one owner. Many thanks for any and all help~

Hey whatever floats your boat Ala Dan. :D I don't think this is legal in most states, but Arkansas should be OK. Just speak softly to it and offer it some roasted oats, seems to work well with the pretty sheep here in Texas. :p

Many Thanks Paul 45 My Friend-

This is truely a "one owner", and has been taken impeccable care of;
however he didn't have the original box and doc's ( :( ), as it was
kept in a "Sack-Ups" sock. To answer the question of cost, it was
my price for a NIB S&W model 642. No, not mine; cuz its not going
any where.

BTW, the fell'a I got this weapon from used to work for Aero-Marine*
here in good old' Bombingham, AL. Yes, this is the same outfit that
sold James Earl Ray the Remington model 700 .30-06 that supposedly
was used to kill Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I just knew all your inquiring
minds wanted too know that tad bit of information. :D

* FootNote: at the time a Colt distributor.

well, not to steal any thunder, but on top is my new ds...1933 manufacture date
