Colt Detective Special

Checking if an ejector rod head for an older Colt Detective Special or Police Positive Special (6/36 TPI) will fit a newer model Colt Detective Special. The new style appears harder to find than the old style. Thanks!

No, at some point in the 50's or early 60's Colt changed the thread size.

In the mid-1970's Colt changed the entire ejector rod assembly to the new style that has the ejector rod and head made in one piece, and where the cylinder assembly is more easily disassembled.

I don't know when Colt changed from the old ejector rod head thread to the later thread size.

Thanks. I thought there was a change but could not find it in my Colt books. I'll just keep looking for the right part.
