Colt DS

That’s great, Pat. If Frank says it’s good, it’s good. I’ve hired him to work on three Colts and he’s always done a superb job at very reasonable rates with a fast turn around. I’m actually hesitant to endorse him for fear that the secret will get out and his rates and wait times will go through the roof. Wait, take back everything I said, he’s terrible! Don’t waste your money! :)
I have like 3 Colts that needs work… Terrible you say?!?!?! 😂

I received my Colt yesterday. It actually came back to my LGS on Saturday but they were swamped.
I picked it up and went into their range and fired it.
It shoots great. It shot great before I just wasn’t sure it was all okay internally. It was and it is.
Mr. Glenn cleaned it up and checked all the internals, lubed it and sent it back. I am happy to have it back.

Just curious turn around time for those who have sent in specimens? Thanks!

Been a week and I haven't heard anything, will probably fire off a quick email before bed. Don't want to annoy or rush anything.

I think I sent mine to Mr. Glenn on Feb 14th.
On Feb. 22nd he called to talk to me about my gun.
It arrived at my LGS on Feb. 24th. I picked it up and shot it on the 27th.

According to Mr. Glenn, my DS was in very good shape. The new mainspring I had installed was done correctly and all the other internal parts were in great shape. He just cleaned it up and lubed it. No repairs or adjustments necessary.

Right now he’s running about two weeks for standard trigger jobs and minor repair work. I can’t recommend him highly enough. So many other gunsmiths are swamped (6 months to a year of waiting) or, frankly, just don’t care about $200 in labor. It’s like trying to get a contractor to come to your house for anything less than $25k. AND Frank is communicative and funny to boot.

Picked up the gun yesterday, Frank noted he replaced the hand. It locks up tight now.

I did note the trigger return seems a big sluggish. I am a smith guy though. Maybe that's normal for colts.

I know the slow return on the ruger lcr led to a 642 replacing my lcr357.

Hope to get this out over the weekend.

So, I recommend Glenn customs for your revolver woes! I can update after the range!
