Either you're intentionally being dishonest by not disclosing that it was a 20'' barrel, or you just don't know enough to know that you're being dishonest.

Since I posted a link to the review... Since I openly discussed in the review that it was a 20" barrel... Since I took a picture of the barrel and posted it online... I think you are wrong.

Find me one instructor who tells their students it's okay to come with a PSA (or Anderson etc.) to one of their carbine classes.

That is an "appeal to authority" fallacy. Just speak for your personal experiences, as I have been doing this entire time.

Telling me to stop it when it is your veracity being called in to question? I will say I'm not going to post on this thread again which will allow you to get in the last word which is your ultimate goal I imagine - to heck with reality.

I'm telling you to stop being intentionally obtuse. It's not adding anything to the discussion. If you doubt that 90% of ARs being sold are value line models then you're not paying attention.

And you know good and well that what I said was in no way meant to be deceptive. But just for nitpickers like yourself, I will rephrase. "Colt makes a good milspec rifle, which puts them ahead of the vast majority of other ARs out there."

Happy now?

Seriously, where's that facepalm smiley at?

Appeal to authority isn't always a fallacy. It's only a fallacy when the authority isn't an expert on the subject matter at hand. For example, if I said Donald Trump likes Colt better than PSA, that would be a fallacy because Donald Trump, while an authority on certain things, probably doesn't know crap about guns. But if I said Donald Trump recommends buying real estate in NYC, that would be a valid argument because he's an expert on real estate in NYC. Get it?

Secondly, no single person has enough experience to base their conclusions on their experience alone. Not to mention this is an internet forum, and neither one of us has any credibility whatsoever. For all I know you only shot a few thousand rounds through those rifles. Or maybe they're your friend's rifles and you're reporting the round counts second hand. Or maybe you just lost track. Maybe I've never even shot a gun before and just like screwing with you. Who knows...

Yes, you said it was a 20'' barrel in the link, and I had to read through all that crap to figure out which rifle was which, only to find out you sent me on a wild goosechase. The very fact that you were comparing a 20'' to a 16'' without disclosing that fact right away is dishonest. Or you just didn't know any better, which I'm thinking is the more likely scenario. Either way, I'm done clicking on your links.

HPT/MPI bolt, 7075 buffer tube, HPT/MPI chromed barrel, H buffer, etc. The Sport II is a fine rifle, the Colt is just better. Its not a knock on the S&W, since you are paying for the better parts.
He wasn't asking about the Sport II, but the MOE model. Very different rifle.
