I shot my new comanche 1 .22 cal revolver today for the first time since buying it in Nov.. It hit right on target at about 30 yds. I was more than pleased with the feel and accuracy. I have not heard alot about these pistols, but I am liking me some of this one:D I gave $190 for this one new, and I think it will do nicely as my bugout pistol. Just wondering if any of you have any experiences with the pistol.

I will be the first to admit I am not a pistol person, I am a rifleman by choice, but I really like shooting this pistol. With the rise of ammunition prices I can shoot more often and longer. I can shoot 50 rnds. of .22 for what it cost me for 2 shots of my .308. GROOVEY:)

I don't think that you can go too wrong for what you payed for it. I bought a Taurus .22 revolver for the same reason. I can shoot 50 rounds of .38 or 500 rounds of .22 for the same price.

pinstripe, I am glad that you like your .22 revolver. I would recommend to you that you consider a used Ruger MK II semi-auto or a Ruger Single Six with the .22 LR and .22 Magnum cylinders for your next purchase.

I am a big fan of .22 handguns due to their versatility and low cost of ammo. For quite awhile my MK II was the only full size handgun that I had. I kept it in the car with me and had a .22 pocket pistol on my person. If you can get a license to carry, I would recommend that you do so. If you ever feel the need to put the .22 in the car with you, you will be legal.

The Gun Digest Book Of .22 Rimfire, by James House is a good read. You can get it a book stores, or probably order it online.
