Confirming Wisconsin Gun Ownership Requirements

I've done my research on this and wanted to confirm what I'm reading is correct. My oldest son recently married and now lives in Wisconsin. He isn't carrying yet, but in regards to owning a shotgun and handgun for home protection and possible shooting at a range there's nothing he needs to do? I live in Illinois where we require a FOID. I know Wisconsin doesn't have anything similar and wanted to confirm he can bring his guns to his Wisconsin home without needing to do anything else.

Correct, Wisconsin has no ownership restrictions besides being 18 and not a felon. CCW is licensed.
