Anyone have thoughts about the best way to contact the SAF? I tried sending a note through the form on their web site -

https://www.saf.org/contact-us-2/

There was no reply after a few days, so I tried the email they listed - [email protected]

No reply from that inquiry either, and it's been about five days.

I expect they are busy, but I wanted to discuss a donation so - I suppose I'll make a phone call next week or even write a letter, but email would be convenient.

I imagine you are right, there's lots for them to do.

Hopefully so many people are donating that they are having a Scrooge McDuck moment. 1*2kLD3EnaJ-6INo0O-MvjzQ.jpg

While I want to give them half of my Uncle Joe check, I would also like to get off the mail list. It's easy to follow what's going on and other than keeping my mailman employed I don't need more newsletters or surveys.

Interestingly, the Charity Navigator site has a link for anonymous gifts. Don't know if that's reliable, but it could be useful .

I was getting three mailings every campaign cycle. Subtle differences in my mailing address. Eventually I got them to stop the multiple mailings. I want them to use my money for good work, not dunning me for more.

I started getting mailings at home and at my POBox, so I called. Got a rep immediately and explained your waisting money sending both, he went through the computer and deleted my street address. Very helpful, very professional.

IME, of 50+ years, I've never gotten a response from a Gun Rights Agency. They seem to prefer form letters, and, for lack of a
better way to put it, arrogance. If I didn't know better, I'd say checks go straight to the bank, all other correspondence goes straight into the shredder, the way the Televangelists do it.

But do keep us posted, if you get an answer ...

I called SAF this morning, and was pleasantly surprised to talk to a person right away. He was happy to hear that I'm splitting Uncle Joe's check between them and a Form 1 build, and agreed to take me off their mail list. I mailed off the money, we'll see if the begging letters stop, and if not I know to use the phone.
