In the spirit of the mission of this sub-forum-- "Meet fellow forum members, find a common ground. Introduce new people to responsible firearm ownership"-- I'd like to revive a tradition from a few years back: a monthly membership drawing.
The SAF does a lot of good work to protect firearms-related rights, and I'd like to express my appreciation by increasing their membership a bit. Here's an index of their current lawsuits, if you'd like to see what they're up to lately. If you're interested in membership, simply respond to this post and I'll enter you in a random drawing.
I'll assign each response a number based on the order of replies, and then use the random number generator at http://random.org to select the winner. (Random numbers are too important to be left to chance!) The list of entrants and their numbers will be posted prior to the selection, and a screenshot of the number generator's result will be provided with the announcement of the winner.
In order to receive the membership, the winner will need to provide a name, mailing address, and email address to me privately. The SAF enrollment form requires a phone number as well, but I'm willing to simply use my own if that's too uncomfortable for the winner. I won't retain any information I've received, nor use it for any purpose other than the membership form, and will provide my contact information to the winner in the interest of fairness.
The winner will be announced in one week, on Saturday, December 10th. Who's in?
