Ive got a CVA double rifle that I would like to convert. I want to use 777 sticks and musket or 309 caps are recommended. Anybody done it. Plan to use power belt bullet

Musket caps are getting kind of hard to find. You might be better off with 209 primers if you can figure out how to do that. I've never used them so I'm vague on what's involved.

Converting to musket caps is easy. The general process is to find out what thread your rifle takes, buy a musket nipple in that size, unscrew the old nipple, screw in the new one. Repeat as needed if it has multiple nipples. That being said I'm not sure how much advantage they have in ignition over a #11 magnum CCI cap or even just using Remington or RWS caps which are fairly hot.

Looks like for 209 primers it's fairly similar except it's kind of a self contained affair that screws in. Again, you need to know the thread, etc. etc. Google "Mag-Spark" for a brand.

I've got a Mag-Spark on my Hawken Hunter. It works like a charm. I recommend it. I've heard of one case where it cracked after using it for awhile .. maybe 'magnum' loads, maybe not. They are only $25 and can be had from: http://www.warrencustomoutdoor.com/mag-spark.html

I called the inventor in Alabama before buying it. He spent a long time talking to me and it was a thoroughly enjoyable conversation.
