Always been a fan of the 3rd Gen S&Ws, have a number of them, but cannot resist a good price on a less common variant! Gunbroker isn't usually the place for deals, but it happens. The first was a 5903 two-tone in an auction that I surprisingly didn't get bid up on last minute, wound up just over $500 for a beautiful specimen. Just a couple days later, a nearly new 3904 showed up with a BIN of $399, so I was on it! I have a particular liking for the single stacks. So though far from complete, the two new additions complement the 5906 and 3906 nicely!

Still need a 5905 if anyone has one they're looking to unload!

And FYI, the 3rd gens are fantastic suppressor hosts. Low port noise and extremely reliable.

Nice collection. Those were good times for S&W. I still keep my eyes open for good deals on 3 Gens.

If they brought back these guns S&W could sell me something. I don't want anything they currently make, except their M&P 22's.

I’m a big fan. Have owned probably 25-30 over the years. Still have 7 of them. If S&W won’t make them (let’s face it, they’d be in the $700 range and might not sell enough to make a profit), they should at least continue to make the most common spare parts and continue to support the line. Mine are all range toys and brag pieces(my 4566 gets a lot of attention when I bring it out), so they don’t get carried, but I’d feel better if parts were easily obtained from the factory instead of third party sources.
