I played with the Crosman DPMS a little bit today.

I chronographed eight 25 shot strings. 68°F in the basement.
I shot each 25 round magazine with a 3 second delay between each shot and reloaded each magazine promptly and continued firing the next mag.
Mag 1. 373 fps ave
Mag 2. 357 fps ave
Mag 3. 346 fps ave
Mag 4. 335 fps ave
Mag 5. 327 fps ave
Mag 6. 332 fps ave
Mag 7. 312 fps ave
Mag 8. 297 fps ave

Mag 9. the velocities dropped significantly with BB's flying errantly.

Very realistic.

yes and pretty accurate for a smoothbore

I found some targets on the UBC Comp site that will work well for me to practice rapid and full auto fire with the Crosman DPMS.

starting position with gun down at a 45° angle

using a count down timer

targets at 6 yards

left to right

first target - gun on full auto...total of 8 seconds to burst fire a minimum of 4 shots at each of the 5 men
second target - gun on semi auto...total of 20 seconds to tap 3 rounds into each of the 8 men
third target - gun on full auto...dump complete 25 round magazine within 3 seconds

Not seeing any hits...

here you go...took a few practice rounds to get the timing down....

starting position with gun down at a 45° angle until timer beep

8 second time limit to burst shot each man with a minimum of 4 hits

20 second time limit to tap 3 shots into each man

I also can use the Crosman DPMS to practice bowling pin shooting to keep tuned up for pin shooting with powderburners. Here's 2 runs I did with the Crosman on my shop built reset-able pin rack I made specifically for use with BB/pellet guns. Using a shot timer to record speed... 3.53 seconds on first run and 3.56 on second....lots of room for improvement!
