I've owned, shot and appreciated a wide array of curio bolt action rifles. But for me, my heart belongs to the archaic, strong and very 19th century Mosin-Nagant. What are your true loves?

Arasaka’s, Nambu’s and other Japanese military arms!

You know you have it bad for Japanese guns when you are stuck in traffic and the written Japanese on the sports car or motorcycle next to you starts to make sense! :neener:

Greetings from down the road in Anchortown…. ;)

Mosins, K-31s (don't own one yet though - I will when I start reloading) and French rifles. I like the Mas 36.

I put "something else" because you didn't mention it was "Bolt guns only" in the poll itself. I wanted to vote for the Garand.

Of the choices listed though, I'd go with the Swede Mauser. The worksmanship and accuracy are fantastic.

I only got into c&r last year, and am still heavily restricted in funds due to going to school, but mosins and enfields are what catch my eye every time. I like the simpleness of the mosin, and everything about the enfield from its cock on close, to its magazine system, its just a great rifle.

I voted 1903's, but really it is any US issue war rifle. I have representatives of the others, but really want an original of every US service rifle as far back as I can go.

I like my K31. "Only accurate rifles are interesting", after all. :)

The engineering and quality is superb, especially at the low prices they are selling for right now. I suspect the supply will dry up and they will shoot up in price, not to mention Wolf plans to release brass 7.5 Swiss.

Very hard to vote for only one!

I have most of them and am looking for more :D
It's a sickness of sorts.

I've gotten out of the American and German stuff for the most part though since so many of the others are such a bargain now. Hard for me to pass on $100 historical rifles :)

I absolutely love my K31. Accurate, extremely high quality workmanship, and that straight-pull bolt is great. Plus, the rifle just seems to fit me really well.

The only other rifle that shares the same place in my heart as my K31 is my M1 Garand. There's just so much history behind it and every time I pick it up it makes me feel a sense of pride at its significance. It is the greatest battle implement ever devised after all :)

The term "Curio and Relic" means military firearms to most, it seems. I like the older sporting rifles. I've had my eye on a Remington Model 81 lately...

My Mosin Nagants are my favorites, after that would be my one Garand, then my Lee-Enfields, then either my Mausers or Arisakas. I love em all but my favorites will probably always be my Mosins

I like the classic line of the Mosin. I am not sure why, but I like all of the Russian/Soviet design weapon.

It was a tough call, but I had to go with the Mosin-Nagant. My defining CCR moment came when my first Nagant was delivered to my door for a total of $ 60.00 (50.00 for the rifle, 10.00 to ship). My dad got a kick out of it also, but since he remembers life before the Gun Control Act of 1968 he also thought it was kind of sad.
