Did Smith & Wesson ever make a 5" model 610 revolver?

I ask because 5" is my absolute favorite barrel length for N-frames, and such a gun would enable me to slide into shooting 10mm without having to buy a new holster.

The original model 610 (no dash number) was made in barrel lengths of 5 and 6 1/2 inches, and between 1990 to 1992 some 4,650 revolvers were made. However I don't know how many of them were in each barrel length. This was a limited production gun that wasn't cataloged.

It was reintroduced in 1998 and continued until 2001. However while the newer production were available in lengths of (off and on) 3, 4, and 6 1/2 inches no more were made in the 5 inch length.

So yes, there are 5 inch/model 610's - but it may be very difficult (and maybe expensive) to find one. But go look anyway... :)

Aren't they a good looking couple??? A 3" and a 5"!!!
