Will the current Models of Ruger “Flat top” convertibles (45 LC/45ACP) handle full power 45 Colt loads? I am aware that the newer Vaqueros are not as strong as the older versions. But I’m unsure about the flat tops.

I am wanting a Ruger convertible, but I want to be able to shoot high power Colt loads in it.

What exactly do you mean by "full powered loads"?

The standard pressure ~250gr@900fps or thereabouts, yes. It'll eat them up.

The 350gr@1200fps "Ruger Only" Loads, no it will not. Those are for the larger frame Blackhawks and Redhawks.

Here's my large frame 45 convertible Bisley

I believe that the current flattops are built with the same medium frame as the new Vaqueros.

Ruger should really think about making a .45 ACP only Blackhawk because the nomenclature with flat tops, Ruger only, etc. has led me to thinking the only single action .45 caliber Ruger that's safe to shoot some above SAAMI spec of 14k PSI from is the 5 shot .454 Bisley.

ruger has set back and watched as this "ruger only" phenomenon continues unchecked. i'm sure their liability insurance premiums would suffer if they were to acknowledge this in any way.

A nice thing about the Blackhawk convertible is that since it is built to withstand the "Ruger Only" loads, it is a real pussycat with 45acp. You could shoot that stuff out of it all day long and barely notice.

I'd be careful without qualifying that statement by adding only the "large frame" convertibles can handle the "Ruger Only" Loads. They have made convertibles on the smaller, flat tops.

That’s the one I want right there....yup!

I got it off Bud's. They had 4.5, 5.5(my choice), 6.5 and I belive 7.5" versions. They were all sold out within about 2 months or less.

Mine's a large frame, but they made Flat top SS Bisley Convertibles as well. I think in only 4.5 and 5.5".
