Nice looking Colt. Your guns are always so well done and full of great features. The one feature that I've really been attracted to though, is the very simple "golfball" front sight. It seem like such a simple idea, but I'm sure one that works so well.

I like it all. Superb as usual. I actually oood and aawd over the mag well. Maybe one day when I hit the lottery.

How many man hours in something like that? Looks like plenty. :)

Beautiful and purposeful looking.

Aside from being just a bit prettier - it has a distinct CZ look to the overall gun after your material removal.

Todd.

I really like that grey. Really nice color. Beautiful work!

I agree. But let me ask what's probably a dumb question - and anyone who knows feel free to chime in ...

Is that grey the same as what's called "Sniper Grey?"

Cerakote over manganese phosphate.
The color is a custom mix of Sniper Grey and Smiths Dark Grey.
A bit lighter than just Sniper.

Thanks for clarifying that. Again, that blaster is beautiful.

Military Finish

What ever happened to the Matte Black, or Fine Finish, or Dull Finish ?

I like 'um shiny, or blue, or dull, but I don't like 'um painted .:cuss:
If 'n I did I'd buy another CZ-82 (which I like but prefer not painted).
Comme si, comme ca.:D

I love it.

But can't get past the milling on the slide.

'Ol' Slab-sides' should be in my mind.

A) Gorgeous work, as always.
B) Does the groove that tuns along the side of the slide serve a functional purpose, or is it purely for esthetics?
C) I would assume the slide is a certain thickness and weight for a reason. If you machine that much metal out of the slide does it weaken the slide? Does the weight loss of the slide require different weight springs to keep the timing right when cycling?

Again, that is one drop dead gorgeous piece of work.
