Custom Ruger 10/22 Takedown shops?

Do any of the custom shops make modified 10/22 Takedowns? My cursory look doesn't seem to find any. I assume it's because Takedown models aren't as accurate as regular 10/22's?

Still, it would be nice to find one. I don't need it to be Volquartsen accurate but I certainly want something better than stock.

Brownells offers a Takedown Receiver and Barrel for the 10/22. This video shows how easy it is to assemble. I am not sure what I would expect in the way of accuracy compared to the standard model.



Project sounds potentially expensive. Perhaps you could start with Brownells BRN-22 Receiver and it trued up. Then have a lugs cut on a barrel to match the receiver specs.

Bed the barrel into the forend and mount your optic to the barrel rather than the receiver
