I know it is limited to 8 rounds, but why are these going for about $200 cheaper than the 9mm versions? Anyone with first hand experience?

I just really like the 45, can't help it. I truly miss having a pistol caliber carbine and the Beretta is a much higher quality rifle than the HiPoint I had.

Good question. I assume they just don't sell as well. Plus there don't seem to be any higher cap mags out there. Who wants a carbine limited to eight rounds? Well, aside from MAIG!

Ive got one in 45, love it. When I bought it 4-5 years ago it was same price as 9mm and 40sw. yeah, it holds 8 rounds, but it was a tradeoff as all my other firearms are 45acp and i didn't want another caliber.

great shooter, accurate, zero issues over the entire time I've had it and will eat any ammo i put through it.

Thanks, that's good to know. There's just nothing quite like the thump of a 45 hitting steel at 75 yards.

I reload using lead bullets so cost isn't much of a factor.

There is a company, Sierra Papa, that does CX4 upgrades including a 45 extension Mag (16 rounds). Not cheap but they are out there. http://sierrapapacx4.com/what-is-it

I have a 9mm and 45, both are easy 6" accuracy at 100yds. Closer is dead meat. I want to do some of the SP upgrades but need to save up the cabbage.

How much are the guns you're looking at?I'm seeing Cx4's at gunshows in Virginia for mid $800s.Before Sandy Hook they were in the mid 500s.

New cx4s go for $800-850. Before Sandy hook $650-750. Does not matter what caliber. Used now go for $650ish depending on how nice they are and what accessories they have. The cx4 is one specifically listed on the bad list by Feinstein and her cronies.:fire:
