Spent a relaxing hour at the range tonight. The conditions were near perfect. I had the sun low and behind me. You could watch the bullet fall into the black through the scope.
I used my CZ 452 American. The targets were the international mini-palma 100 yard reduced for 100 yards. I shot at 100 yards.

First target, "800 yards"

"1000 yard" target. I had about a 45 minute break between the second and third target and it showed.

To give some idea what size the targets are. The shell is a 45 acp.
It really is a challenge and a lot of fun, too. I used a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x on the CZ. Amazing on how your heartbeat can throw off a shot from the ten to the seven. I used CCI mini mags for ammo. I am going to get a replacement trigger for the CZ as the stocker is really poor and my only complaint.

You can actually just replace the spring in the trigger with a lighter one and it will cut the pull weight to whatever you've willing to work with. I used a spring from a ballpoint pen once and got a pull of a few ounces. That was a little too light.

Try some subsonic ammo if you want to tighten those groups up a little. Most .22 ammo will go transonic before 100 yards and the accuracy will suffer because of it. Wolf Match works really well in mine.

Targets are fine for 100 yds. I'd be happy with them for the most part with CCI HV. I don't quite undestand the "800 yards" and "1000 yard" target notation. Shooting a 22LR really gets a lot harder beyond 25 yds.

Shooting a smaller target at 100 yds is not the same as shooting at longer distance if that is what the notation means. But still fun.

Test some other ammo to find out which ammo your rifle prefers if you haven't already done this. Wolf Match Target generally shoots pretty good from CZ's. Your groups should improve.

I can recommend the Brook's trigger kit. You can get it from Brooks directly (cz452.com) or Whittaker's. Easy install, and makes a big difference. For safety reasons, though, start conservative and safety test often.
