Anyone know of rings for a CZ 455 (11 mm dovetail) that would get the scope tube at least 1 inch above the barrel. With the stock on this rifle I can't get a decent view through the scope with stock CZ rings (0.625 from dovetail to bottom of scope tube). If I keep trying I'm going to damage my neck, lol.

Loon Wolf: thanks for the offer but it looks like the Talley rings are the same height as the CZ rings I have now (.6 or so from the measurement shown by Skylerbone).
However the BKL rings seem to be close to 1 inch tall. Those may be just the ticket. Thanks all.
Oops, look like they are out of stock. I will keep an eye out for them.

Follow that ebay link. In stock, $30 shipped.

When you get a set of rings and get your scope mounted, let us know how the gun shoots for you.

I wanted a nicer scope, but I found a Center Point lighted mil-dot 3x9x32 that actually works well for me so I think I’ll keep it for a while. I had to dial it in early this morning before I taught the second day of a two-day patrol rifle class, so I brought a folding table, chair and a front bag-rest to the range.

I didn’t have much time, so I took about 20 shots moving my POI from hitting a bit high and right. Once I was hitting center I put 10 into the large-ish 10 ring on a 25 yd pistol target that I had at 50 yards. (I was shooting just after sunrise this morning, beautiful weather ;))

I was using Norma Match ammo, which I liked accuracy-wise but I found it to be really greasy (The cases felt like Crisco-greasy) so they were kind of tough to load in the 10-round mag. Since I also made the mistake of drinking a big 7-11-sized cup of caffeinated iced tea as I was driving to the range, which never means good shooting for me, I’m perfectly happy with this result :).

You’re going to love that CZ rifle once you get it dialed in... no squirrel, rabbit, crow or tin can will be safe from you out to 75 yds and beyond when you do .

Stay safe.

Will do. Haven't followed up yet because I'm trying to get ready for the Friendship (National Muzzle Loading Rifle Assoc.) matches in mid June.

Follow up: found a combo mount/ring set for the CZ that is .825 inches high in some stuff I got with the rifle and mounted it. Tried it out today & it is just right. Now I have to get it sighted in and work on the nut behind the trigger.

if you work on the nut above the trigger you can improve the pull weight. I removed it all together on my 452, and unscrewed it most of the way on my 455 to get marvelous light pulls.

Additional update: Put about 100 rounds through the 455 getting it sighted in at 50 and 100 yds. It seems that I was less correct than usual (lol) about the scope height being just right. Still not quite getting a really good cheek weld with this Manners stock; decent but not ideal. I guess 1" rings will be needed after all. May also try Greyling's suggestion on the nut above the trigger.
