Hello all,
I'm looking into the CZ 75's I'd like traditional Double/ single action with the ability to apply the safety in a locked and cocked mode. Is this available in the standard 75 B or do I need the SA?? Is the SA only Single Action or double the first pull??

Thanks,
Search is hard with 2 letters..............

The standard 75B is a single action/double action with the ability to be carried Cocked and Locked, as you have described. In fact, any of the CZ 75 series can be used like that.

75B will do it, as will an SP01 (not the Tactical version). I find the SP01 a much easier pistol to shoot well. The sights are much larger and they're Tritium.

Not knocking the 75B... in fact, just finished cleaning it from today's range trip.

Check out CZFORUM.COM if you haven't already.

Enjoy..

Steve

The standard B is indeed a DA/SA that can be carried cocked and locked. In fact, the safety only engages with the hammer cocked. The SA is just that, a single-action only version. It has a different shape of trigger and wider, differently placed safety levers, which are also ambidextrous. These are quite wide, almost paddle-shaped. There is also a BD, a DA/SA with a decocking lever. This cannot be carried cocked and locked.

The CZ-75B SA is delightful in that it comes with an ambidextrous safety (a must for southpaw locked and cocked), and a straight, shorter reach trigger than the standard CZ-75B.

'Course, if it weren't for the CZ-85's ambi slide stop (udder + bull = ambi slide stop), I'd be all over the 85. 'Course, there's nothing keeping me from swapping out the 85's slide stop for a normal 75...
