At my lgs yesterday, owner says he has cz 308 bolt action for sale..thinkin it was a 550. Told me it's a 750, already knew it's the sniper version. Been wanting one since I bought my first cz452fs in 2008...but the price was not in reach.....until yesterday:) I asked how much he told me $1400 and it comes with this n that....i told him I will take it:) I've seen these things go between $1800-2000 bucks...some pics, for now n range trip to follow

That's a great price and a cool rifle. The Czech's really like the adjustable cheek weld stock, I have the same on an earlier VZ54/91.

Kinda looks like a trg. Let us know how it does at the range. I remember reading a magazine over 10yrs ago about an off the shelf cz hunting rifle with a skinny barrel Shooting under 1moa groups with shelf hunting ammo. I imaging this thing must shoot real tight. Have fun

Thanks guys, gonna load up some 168 smk-HPBT today to try out. Limited on yardage for now so will be only 50 for now:( private land later for 100

at that price it competes with a sig SSG 3000.love the adjustable butt pad

Awesome rifle. And you're right, that's a darn good price.

I'm curious about the range report as well!

Be careful, CZ firearms have a way of multiplying...I'm picking up my 4th CZ product tomorrow.

.
Nice machine! but *almost* seems a waste of time to use that thing at ranges under 200 yards. lol.

Would like to see more pics, and some with that telescope mounted!

Congrats! on your great purchase.

:)

@apples, wish I had access to long distances:( as for that telescope that came with the rifle....I dare not mount n take pics, scope rings are high and looks funky..lol. Need to get lower 35mm rings, still got lotsa real estate between scope n barrel.

Ok short range trip today, first time shooting the 750. Here's my Loads I worked up today. Lapua Brass/ SMK-HPBT 168gr./powder W-748=38.0gr/c.o.l=2.800"/primer cci
Scope=weaver T-36x40/fine cross hair/1/8 moa dot. Just checking for groups today.
After sighting in scope at 50y..took my time for a 5 shot group
image.jpg1_zpsgnrn4kwt.jpg
Then moved to 100y. holy crap my scope is off, reticle not straight...but shot anyway. Shot 5 separate groups @ 5 shots ea. this was my best for the day
image.jpg1_zpszfbv0rjj.jpg
Could not stand my scope being off...so decided to try and make straight as possible... Then I shot this group...this could have been my best group, guess where the 5th shot:banghead:
image.jpg1_zpsgxovxuwy.jpg
Not the best sturdy shooting table(be gentle) better than nothing, being windy today and dang the weaver 1/8 dot keep bouncing in the red target was a challenge holding steady...LOL but was fun and happy with results.

Nice snag on getting the CZ 750. Groups look good, but you really need to see what it can do farther out with your handloads. You might also test it with some FGMM 168 ammo as a comparative "control" load.

If you serious about doing some long-range shooting with it, especially if you can access F-class type shooting in your area, you might consider upgrading your optic set-up (Vortex has decent entry level scopes). Also the mount and rings. The ones in the picture look awfully high.

That is one sharp looking rifle, AND it shoots great. What's it weigh the way you have it set up?

Thanks again, Dr.rob just weighed it at 13.5lbs... it recoils like a .223 with the weight/muzzle break

Thanks stuffs

That is a solid rifle, one of the best bang for the buck, considering the quality and performance. I've seen one taken out to 800-1000 meters, quite small targets, not even blinking the eye at that.

When I was buying my rifle it was either the 750, or Tikka Tactical. Bought the latter, but only because the 750 was 308 Win and TikTac was 300 WM and I got a good deal on that.

That is excellent price for sniper rifle of this type. Similar weapons from Sako, Accuracy International,.......cost thousands of dollars.

That is sweet! I have a 550 .308 Varmint with a heavy barrel and it is a great shooter even with factory ammo.

Ifit;

None of your pictures show the bolt itself, so is it a Mauser action or the new 557 type push-feed? It's accurate enough in either case, I'm just curious.
