This is a bit about the gun, a CZ 805 Bren and a bit about the backpack, a Vertx EDC Gamut Plus.
I decided having a higher capacity pistol I can legally conceal as a CCW permit holder would be good for traveling and occasionally, camping.
I bought PMag Gen2 mags and they feed reliably, plus they are much more quiet than the metal magazines that came with the pistol.
I was surprised at how little the pistol recoils. And it's accurate enough for its intended need. Its overall length is about 22.75", so I looked for a backpack it can fit in.
The Vertx is a "tactical" backpack that has the appearance of a regular backpack and it's tall enough to hold the Bren. It has MOLLE attachments under the front panel where I attached mag holders and a pouch to organize items. All magazines are loaded with Federal Fusion MSR 62gr soft point ammo. I'll chronograph those rounds from the pistol later.
The gun is LOUD! That's its main downside. I bought Decibullz custom molded earplugs to keep in the top compartment of the backpack. But, some situations may not allow time to use them.
