Well i was using my gun i had the .40 and .9mm together so i accidentally loaded a .40 bullet in my 9mm CZ...

I thought it was guns fault that it had not shot but no it was because i put a .40 instead of a 9mm so the case got stuck but it came out like nothing.

I KNOW I KNOW. It was my fault i i learned a lesson i will never have ammo next to each other like that again. Big mistake.

Now the gun didn't shoot, i am so glad it didn't it might have blew up in my hand... Now i did notice my firing pin looking a little odd is that normal? i put a picture so you guys can maybe compare it to yours and see it is wrong it looks chipped....

The gun still worked after like a charm and has not had a misfire or anything wrong withit, its my most reliable handgun even after i placed a .40 in it and accidentally shot it, thank god it didn't ignite the primer...

Please tell me if its okay or if i have to replace it, the firing pin?

That a CZ Model 83? That's not the firing pin in your picture. It's the ejector.
"...still worked after like a charm..." Rule number one. If it works, don't fix it. Relax. Your pistol is fine.
The 40 cal bullet, not the case, got stuck in the much smaller 9mm chamber. The case mouth of a .40 S&W case is 52 thou bigger than a 9mm. There's no way it would have gone bang or blown up.

Cool thanks, so that thing sticking out is not the firing pin? its an extractor i didn't know that... Thanks for telling me.

EDIT: OH its a CZ75B/SA

how did you shoot a .40 in a 9mm..it wouldn't even chamber..
the bullet would start up the feed ramp..but jam at the barrel mouth..you wouldn't even get into battery to drop the hammer??

as the others said..its the ejector and its pretty stout..looks good from your photo

You loaded a 40 into a 9? You thought the ejector was the firing pin?

Do not touch that gun again until you can get somebody who knows guns to train you in the proper use of firearms.
