I'm looking at one of these in .40 its a new current production gun. Its the da/sa model not the BD model. For those here who own one of these, how do you like it? I owned a cz p01 9mm that was a great gun and I rami fits my hands nicely. However I have no experience with this particular model.

I can´t say about the .40 cal. I owned Poly 9x19, carried it for a few years. It was a fine handgun. Reliable, easy to CC, especially with the shorter mag, and accurate.
I recall that the early light alloy frames sometimes struggled with the .40 S&W wear, but I believe the CZ sorted that out after a year or two.

I had a BD in 9mm, alloy frame. Very good quality gun. Came with night sights, and for the price it was a great deal...a tad higher than a new Glock 27.

I've been eyeing the for quite some time. They seem to get great reviews and the price point seems more than fair.

Cool thing about all of the metal framed CZs...the Kadet upper can be used on them... Here's my RAMI in .22LR :)

Not all. Just MOST.

CZ-40B or CZ-40P... (and the CZ-97, of course) can't use the Kadet Kit. The 40P uses the 40B slide, and a modified version of the P-01 frame. (That suggests a bigger difference between the RAMI, too.)

Some of the earlier versions of pre-Bs can't use the Kadet Kit, either: the hammer on some of the older ones are too wide to fit in the notch on the rear of the Kadet Kit -- it can't contact the firing pin.

All of the other metal framed 9mms and .40 should work.
