lately the trigger of my cz75b has been failing to reset fully after each shot. at the range today i put about 150 rounds thru and on probably about a third of them i had to manually reset the trigger after each shot.

i have no idea why this started happening; i didnt get much response on the cz forums.

anyone experience this, or know how to fix this problem?

Didn't we respond to you? I would call 1-800-955-4486, press for gunsmith, and ask, CZ-USA will take care of the issue, as that is not normal, lube or not. Trigger return spring needs replacing, most likely, but it could be something else. Call and czech it out.

There's nothing wrong with the gun. All it needs is a drop of oil between the sides of the trigger bar and the frame. That's it. Do this and let us know.

Seen this many times.

I would take the grips off then hose out the inside of the frame with brake cleaner. I would then re oil. Mark

dom1104,

There was a dedicated thread on this topic a few weeks ago. IIRC correctly, Todd G. also bad mouthed HK and Sig, as well as others in the past.

Everyone, even Todd G. has the right to an opinion and a common body orifice

And sometimes use one for the other's purpose. ;)
I add a drop of oil to my trigger spring about once every couple of months, and I have had zero issues with any CZ trigger spring, that's why I suggest he call CZ-USA pronto. They are open as I type this...

thanks for the replies all!

the trigger spring looks normal and doesnt appear to be broken, and i oiled the trigger area where it contacts the frame also and it still did it.

schmeky, thanks for the tip i thought about doing that but wasnt sure if i should put oil there, ill give it a try.

i shot a Glock 30 alongside my 75 and actually liked the trigger feel better than the 75's single action pull, based on what ive read about glock triggers i didnt expect this to be the case :D

piece of meat,

Be sure and let us know if that did the trick, there may be others it could benefit. When I do an action job on a CZ pistol, I always remove the trigger bar and work the sides with 220/400/600/1000 grit to get a mirror shine.

Then I apply a little Brian Enos Slide Glide or a light molybedenum disulfide grease on the newly polished trigger bar prior to reinstallation. This, along with polishing other contact points, installation of a 15# hammer mainspring, and the CZ competition hammer, results in an amazing transformation of the CZ pistol.

Simply must be experienced to appreciate the results.
