Dang. I'm Depressed

Do I have to surrender my guy card??
I don't think so - not yet anyway. I personally go in phases - there are times (months sometimes) when just don't feel like I "need" or want another gun. Eventually though, I always run across a gun that I can dream up a "need" for.
It helps that I have a wife who loves hunting, shooting and guns as much as I do. Buying her a new gun for her birthday, our anniversary, or "just because" always makes up for a lot of things I should have done but didn't. ;)

I never need another firearm until something catches my eye then i got to have it. Alot of it for me is the dang sales emails from all the go to companies. Its like there linked directly to my wallet and offer sales that i can afford wheni can afford it. I do try to keep everything in the same handful of calibers so i dont have to stock 1000 different calibers of ammo. Hi everyone my names david and im a gunaholic. 🤣

I have a prediction. @J-Bar will see his gun pusher one day between now and Christmas and he will post some really nice pictures of the really nice gun he’s always wanted but never came across until now (one day between now and Christmas) ;)

By the way, Pard. Your man card is in no danger of going anywhere.

I also don't have a lot of wants, have you tried WWII guns or cowboy guns You can also customize what you have or take up reloading. Maybe find a local shooting match.

Yes, please PM me for return address. To be honest, a single firearm is needed to enjoy shooting sports. You got that met and then some.

I'm satisfied with the guns I presently own. I enjoy shooting what I have, don't really want to add anything to my current inventory.

Do I have to surrender my guy card??
try a suppressor and load the heavies & movie silent round!

That What I’m going to go! Reloading & Suppressor goes like Peas and Carrots

I've lost the desire to buy guns and I have the finances to buy any regardless of price. A couple of weeks ago while I dropped off my wife at a class I drove down to a Bass Pro shop and started looking at the guns. Nothing picked my interest and the guy working the counter asked if he could help. I replied I was looking for the new Smith and Wesson M&P 22 magnum. I thought it was a safe thing to ask for since I am thinking of thinning the herd and I did not see it on display. Son of a gun if he didn't reply we just got a shipment in today, they are in the back and we have not put them out on display yet.

He brought it out and I was still not going to buy it until I held it in my hand, with the other hand I reached in my pocket and pulled out my wallet. Have not shot it yet as temperatures down here in my area have been hovering in the triple digits for over 75 days. I'm afraid it might melt the lead.

There's always new things I want to buy, try, and pontificate on, but I could live without them. I think back to all I bought the last 10 years and there are some things I don't mind owning, but would like to upgrade. The stuff I sold off were beyond poor in use or performance.

The biggest problem since Covid is availability. The biggest reason I've bought a few guns during this drought is price: Hi Points, Heritage, NAA, and Taurus Gx4's are cheap. The .22 LCR wasn't nearly as cheap, but after all the years of not having a double action .22 revolver I finally decided it was time.

I'm definitely in a funk now, nothing I want is available and the only other cheap gun I could want is the Bond Stinger RS.

I am paddling in the same boat @J-Bar. In Ca we are limited to what we can buy handgun-wise, so I am finding no new releases I can buy. Sadly, the ones “approved” are not really enticing to me, outside of a Beretta M9 that I may get as a tribute to a friend who took his own life about six years ago. Well, that and maybe a python if I can save up $1,500 or more to cover the cost of one of them.

When I sat back and thought about it, I realized that I have enough stuff in the safes to shoot one gun a day…and go an easy five months before I repeat.

I seriously think when the day comes that I hit an even six months, I will be officially done adding to the larder.

I think….

maybe…

who knows?

Stay safe.

I said the same thing a while back, "I'm just about done buying guns!", and then I snapped out of it and bought 4 not far apart. One was a "I always wanted a" gun, one was a great deal, one was kind of a spur of the moment, and one was to actually think about carrying.
