Dang. I'm Depressed

My solution is to buy another bullet mold!
Or go flea market scrounging. Buy a set of dies, some components, maybe some loaded factory ammo.
Voila! You’re in the market for another gun!

Do I have to surrender my guy card??
No.
But, it's complicated.
Especially as we are surrounded by 'enablers' :)

My current "comfort zone" analogy I'm using is that you get to a point where you are a Chef in a working kitchen. You probably don't need another chef's knife, as you will have a bundle of those. You probably need no more spoons nor ladles; ditto countertop machines. You might need flatware or glass and plate ware. Maybe. (And cost of those is critical to buying.)

Now, does that mean you don't go to the restaurant supply house to browse? Maybe, maybe not.You won't know if you don't go :D

Do you need a 12" chef's knife if the 10" is satisfactory? Dunno. Might be the blade just feels right in your hand. Ditto a Dan Wesson at a decent price.

I don't understand about being depressed because you have no gun wants right now. Like others have already said, that will pass. You still own guns so keep your card.

I found the urge to get out of depression in several ways!

1 started getting hand guns - long guns in same cartridges ie. 44 mag, 22lr, 45 acp ect ect.
2 reload a lot then reload some more
3 go shooting
4 and finally get something you have wanted for a long long time. For me it was a Remington 1100 410 sport with changeable chokes !

Oh yeah almost forgot......... stock up on reloading components and rimfire inventory

If these methods do not work, first time, repeat as often as necessary

I recently picked up a 351C, and just today ordered a Wrangler birdshead. Another LWS32 will be picked up around Christmas. I think maybe one more .357, probably an old school K frame and a basic 1911 .45 will just about finish my wants... I'll prolly then start looking at top break 32s and such.

My problem is I really, really, really want another gun. I shot it two weeks ago, and might be shooting it again tomorrow. but it's 4K, and it will take some time to come up with it. The good thing is, it really isn't going anywhere, it just sits in his safe, the bad thing is waiting.......
Curious minds want to know!

After a long time you own or have owned some version of everything you've been interested in along the way.

After that it's just bargain shopping, niche collection. instant gratification, etc.

This is exactly where I find myself currently.
So I won a Blackhawk 45 convertible on GB, then ordered 2 Zastava M70 32 ACP pistols, and some magazines for them, now I'm looking for the next bargain.

I'm satisfied with the guns I presently own. I enjoy shooting what I have, don't really want to add anything to my current inventory.

Do I have to surrender my guy card??
Not at All ... Not a thing wrong with having everything you want ... Time to relax , and take the time to enjoy it all ! Go shooting ... take a youngster with you and teach them what you've learned .

You've earned a Gold Guy Card !

Don’t worry; this too shall pass. A week, a month, half a year from now, some magazine will show a picture of a shiny new lead spitter and it will be love at first sight again to get your loins aflamed anew.

No.

I’m pretty much in the same place.

The solution is you can ‘like’ rather than ‘want.’

For example, I’d like a three-inch Python, but I don’t want one.

Nothing wrong with being satisfied with what you have. I often scratch my head about how some people find the time to shoot everything they have. And if they do manage to shoot everything they have then how do they manage to shoot any one thing enough to get good with it. But then my guns are for shooting not collecting.

You could do what I do....change to buying OTHER gun related stuff.....right now mine are scopes...next will probably be holsters....well see.

What I really need to do is quit buying stuff just because its a good deal lol.
