Agreed, though I did say 'more or less'. Dammit, wish I could find the ad. It reminded me of the Hudson, and it's not clear what aspects of the design are patent protected. Not without paying Daniel Defense who

In person it’s much better looking than a lot of the publicity pics have portrayed it. The slide and dust cover are the same depth as a Sig 226 or an HK VP9. The trigger sitting higher than usual is what gives it the odd look. The finish and color of the gun, which is a dark grey is really nice. I’d like to see some grip options, but I’m sure that will be coming.I'm sure it shoots well, but man is it ugly
Actually, like the looks, the low bore axis...it does look different. I could be interested, if the preliminary results are good.In person it’s much better looking than a lot of the publicity pics have portrayed it. It’s got good accuracy, but the trigger is a work-in-progress.Actually, like the looks, the low bore axis...it does look different. I could be interested, if the preliminary results are good.
Give it a good trigger and decent accuracy.

I have an original and I love the look and feel of it. I have the DD on backorder as well and I have handled one.I thought the original H9 would have looked perfect in the holster of an Alliance officer in Firefly. Really interesting, fun design. But I did suspect they would become collectors’ items from the start. Seems like all the good stuff gets canceled too soon. Let’s see what DD does with the second edition.
