The serial number range for 1940 - 1945 is 700000 to 1000000
Your gun could probably date to around 1942 but those were the WWII years so who know exactly how many guns were made each year.
Are you sure there isn't a "V" in the serial number? It might be to the car left of the butt because if it does, you have a very rare 2" Victory model. Those guns were made between 1942 to 1945.
