Dehumidifier?

Golden Rod or equivalent? The best thing going. I've had 3 for many years. They just plain work and they don't burn out like light bulbs.

I'd spend a little more money have have a good one installed rather then a underpowered portable.

I've got a room in the basement where I keep all my toys, many of which would be destroyed by high humidity. (antique cameras... lots of wood and leather...) It's worked well for 30 plus years. If you can't regularly empty the thing, just be sure it can empty into a drain

I used one like that for a couple years when I had my safe in a converted garage with a concrete floor. It worked great, just had to empty it regularly in the winter.

I'm paranoid so I run one of those in my reloading area and have a golden rod in the safe. Buy a bigger dehumidifer than you think you need and it won't run as much and probably save you some $. (I"m using a 65 pint in my relatively dry basement)

Regards,
Dave

I have a large roll-around model and they work very well, especially if it has a connection for a hose and access to a floor drain.

Is this room in the basement or in an air conditioned part of the house? An electric baseboard heater (or even one of those rollaround oil-filled electric space heaters) would keep the temp in the room a few degrees above the rest of the floor and act as a large GoldenRod.
