Delayed Transfer

Greetings,

After 10 months of waiting, I was finally able to make my last payment on my HK 91. After the forms were filled out and cash exchanged, the background check came up delayed. Has anyone ever had this happed? I have nothing on my record, and purchased a rifle 3 months ago.

I called the store yesterday, but the NICS check is still coming up delayed. Just curious if anyone has ever experiance this. Thanks for any input.

It occasionally happens to people, nothing really to worry about. Often times you just share a name with someone who isn't supposed to own a firearm, and they have to dig a little deeper.

Did you provide your SSN?

It's never happened to me, but I have a very unique first and last name.

I provided my Social Security number and everything else. I'm just a little angry about the whole thing. Come on, it's a HK 91! Anyone here have experiance with these rifles?

I have a CETME which is the predecessor to the HK91, but definatly not as well put together as the 91. I will pick up a real 91 or a JLD clone later when finances allow.

Still a very good reliable rifle, and very accurate as well.
