I wouldn’t mind a new HS Sentinel w/ a 3” barrelAnd maybe they will have one without the drugstore cowboy outfit and return the HS Sentinel.

Did you expect less ?I like the basic idea of a single action styled double action revolver and $320 MSRP for a dual cylinder 9-shot revolver seems reasonable on the surface. But damn, that thing is rough and un-refined. They don't even try to hide the poor casting marks and construction under that flat black paint.
That Diamondback sure makes a Ruger Wrangler look like a Colt Python in comparison.

The HS was* made of steel, or at least a few runs were.I was worried that it might be cheaply made but the website says not. Its made of Zinc. My favorite long lasting gun material.
I don't know how it could be called a copy. I am pretty sure the High Standard was made from steel.
Nope. Aluminum frame. But still better than Zinc.

If they made a *steel* version, it wouldn’t be an issue.Hopefully the production guns will be made better. Those spring pins sure aren’t easy on the eyes, not sure if taper pins could be used without cracking the frame.

I’m willing to bet Ruger wanted to keep their reputation for bank vault tough guns.I like the concept of what they are offering and maybe the Zinc frame will be serviceable. I would have preferred steel or even aluminum but for a 22 it should be acceptable. It kind of makes you wonder why if Diamonback/Taurus can offer this gun with a Zinc frame in 22 mag why Ruger couldn't offer the Wrangler in 22 mag also.
I hope they at least threaded the barrel in and didn't glue it in place like on the HRR guns. I can't wait for the reviews. I like 22 caliber guns but won't buy junk.
