Did/Does S&W ever make a 629 .44 mag with a full lug 4" barrel?

I've always preferred the look of the full lug over a 3/4 lug and the small amount of weight could perhaps help with recoil a littl . It seems that the shortest length you can get a full lug in is 5" inch. I would someday like to get a SW 629 .44 mag for hunting.

I had a 5" Classic 629...I sold it to pay off some bill about 15 years ago. I still have a 4" Mountain Gun 629 and a 6.5" Classic 629 with the factory power port. I'll say go out and get the 5". Just enough more of the sight radius to make it easier to hit at distance, but not unwieldy like larger barrels so you can carry it easily in a hip holster rather than a chest rig.

Stay safe.
