Looking at getting a practically mint condition SW 44 629-1 Cerca 1985 I think,
SN# AUK0334 Product Code 103603 Spec Ord: 6248 4 " barrel.

Looks great.

What would be aprox lightly used value please?

4" $600. The early models dont have the endurance package.

Edit/add The 4" seems to sell for less at auctions around here. The 6 & 8 3/8 are around $800 to $900. Condition is everything. Box, tool and papers are a plus+.

Google - Horst Auction Smith & Wesson (add model) , for sold prices ,with photos.

If short barrel and or unfluted cylinder then 12-1500. Dunno if them Lew Hortons we’re out yet in that time frame.

Thanks, in addition to the value, what do you think of the quality durability and trigger in General on the gun with the serial number and information given? I haven't gotten the chance to hold the gun yet but I have seen pictures and it is very clean looks almost like new and definitely has been fired very little. How much difference does the endurance package make? What does it actually do? Of course I assumed it increases the ability to handle 44 magnum loads.

When a cartridge was fired, the cylinder would unlock, rotate backwards and when the hammer was cocked, the fired round would be back under the firing pin.

My 629 & 29-2 both did it. Had S&W fix the 629 many years ago, but they didnt install the endurance package. No upgrades were done.

I put some new parts in the 29 long ago. It helped some. The cylinder had started rotating backwards again about 5 or more years ago. Kept shooting it till i got tired of it last year.

Sent it to S&W. See Posts 40 & 52 . https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/smith-wesson-customer-service-or-lack-threrof.836851/
The whole package may not have been installed? . The cylinder remained the same.

Note: I am the orginal owner of the m29. Still have the warrenty card and paper work, with box. May had an effect on repair costs??
