Must give credit where credit is due. Wow, Dillon customer service is outstanding. Had a CV-500 case tumbler for 2 years, used maybe 30 hrs. the motor burnt out. thougt what the hey, I'll send it back with a quick explanation. Whats the worst they will do...fix it for 30 buck or so. Not quite, they completely revamped the whole unit, no charge, no questions. I will definately acquire that 550 press i have been eying for so long.

Those guys are great. Anytime any of my Dillon equipment has broken, regardless of reason, I simply call them and they send a replacement part, and then some.

It's not the absolute greatest name in reloading for nothing. Nothing else even comes close.

I'm also in on giving Dillon 100% for customer service. Just got some plastic primer feed tube thingies from them, and my machine is 20 years old.

However, I would also add RCBS to the list. Me Pop bought a Green Machine used, it had two or three issues, and he already had another progressive in .38 Special. "Send it in," they says, so he does. It comes back all cherried out in 9mm and is, in my humble opinion :)scrutiny: HAH! Humble??? ), that particular machine comes closest to the glory of a gen-yoo-ine Star reloader.

Dillon has been awesome to me. I bought a used SL900 (shotshell press) on ebay. It arrived with several broken parts, some of them major. For example, a small tab was cracked off the platform, which is the big cast metal to which the shellplate and lots of other pieces mount. The case feed tube was cracked, a return arm was missing, etc. I thought I was SOL thanks to a dishonest ebay seller. I called Dillon to see what those parts would cost to replace and they said, "Nothing! We'll send you whatever you need at no charge." And they did!

Once I had all the parts replaced, I tried to get it running and was having trouble with the primer arm not returning all the way to pick up a new primer. I called Dillon for advice. The tech said it could be any one of three or four things, and to save me the time and frustration of having to test them one at a time, they would just me the parts I'd need to fix all four problems. If the first fix solved it, then I would just keep the other parts as spares. Again -- no charge.

Customer service doesn't get any better than that. I'm a Dillon owner for life. I now have an RL550B, also, and I love them both.

Add me to the list of happy owners, I just recently ordered a XL650 with the case feed system, although almost fool proof, I showed'em:uhoh: A call to Dillon with explanation and my new part was sent to my door....Didn't matter that it was a dumb mistake on my part!!!

I bought a "old, new stock" 450, which had never been out of the box but hasn't been made in maybe 15-20 years...

anyway, the powder measure leaked between the housing and the charge bar. They not only sent the new 550 style and all the adapting parts, but they also replaced all the powder bushings free.
