227,631 members seems like a pretty good voting pool....
Unfortunately, the number of
active members here is much smaller. In any case, none of us are voting members of the House or Senate, and presumably, few of us have votes in city councils, county commissions or state legislatures. So the best we can do is go to our local PTA, school board, city council, county commission meetings, hearings at our state houses, write letters and e-mails, but above all, freakin' turn in our freakin' ballots.
Straw polls on the internet haven't convinced anyone, ever, of anything... yet.
Do we need
more gun laws? Of course not. Can we do away with
MOST of the gun laws already on the books? Of course. Are
most of the "gun control" laws in existence either totally unnecessary, redundant or, most importantly, UNCONSTITUTIONAL? Resounding yes.
Posting comments on gun forums about gun control is like posting comments on sports websites complaining about how Paul Feinbaum keeps saying the SEC is the best conference in college football because SEC teams keep winning the national championship. Duh! You're expecting arguments?
