Do I have a *useless* firearm?....
Boy, DO I!
I took this off an old gal's hands as a favor as .40, semi-auto and magazine loading was too much for her. Another typical dickin' by a gun store employee selling what he liked instead of what she needed.
Got her into a fine S&W revolver which ironically was in the shop and she was talked out of by the tool behind the counter.
Now, I have this tall, .40 cal (got no others... want no others) that is not particularly light, not particularly thin and yet *small* by personal service standards.
Do NOT even get me started on the "GRIP ZONE"! Shouldn't bother me as I can't see it when shooting but there it is. It is idiotic and pisses me off.
I've never been a fan of *stippling* Tupperware but if this sticks around I see an evening beside the fire with single malt and a soldering iron in its future.
Still, it is wonderfully made, speaks the truth about mag capacity (unlike EVERY Glock I've ever owned) and has some strangely pleasing ergos - most especially with the long mag in it.
No..... NO! I will NOT allow myself to like this thing.
*Useless*? I name thee XD40 Sub Compact!
Todd.
